MADO Afyonkarahisar creates a tranquil meeting place within the city’s everyday activity through a courtyard organised around water. Seating areas extending along and over the water offer different perspectives on the space, while connecting routes and views across the courtyard unite the design around a shared centre. Daylight and greenery support an airy atmosphere that unfolds from the interior to the terrace. Maintaining a visual connection with the city, this arrangement makes pausing and observing the surroundings part of the experience. Bringing traditional café culture into a contemporary courtyard setting, the project offers an inviting place where flavour and conversation unfold alongside the tranquillity of water.
