Set within Artvin’s dramatic topography and rich natural landscape, Sebzeciler Mosque reinterprets the characteristic elements of traditional mosque architecture through a contemporary and restrained architectural language. Its stone façade, dome and minaret establish a timeless identity, while generous openings, natural daylight and a landscape-integrated courtyard create a living architecture in constant dialogue with its surroundings. The project approaches the mosque not solely as a place of worship, but as a social heart for community, encounter and togetherness . The courtyard, communal spaces, resting areas and landscape are conceived as parts of a unified environment, bringing Artvin’s local architectural memory together with contemporary detailing. The result is an architecture that belongs naturally to its setting—serene, grounded and timeless.
